The Korean Immigration Office has recently announced that Canadians no longer require a Vulnerable Sector Screening with their criminal background check. This is good news for many of you as it has proven to be very difficult to obtain. A criminal background check from the RCMP or other government agency will suffice. However, please contact the Korean consulate in your province’s jurisdiction as they might have different requirements. Moreover, they will be better able to direct you to the appropriate agency to obtain your CBC.
